Study Groups

In the Benefice there are several different Fellowship and Bible Study groups which meet for fellowship, discussion, prayer and Bible study at a variety of different locations. For details please refer to the Weekly Notices, where there will also be details of any seasonal groups such as during Lent or Advent.

Living Flame

Living Flame is a Fellowship group that meets twice a month to give people an opportunity to share their faith and grow with others in our understanding of what it means to be a Christian in today's world. We have discussions on living the Christian life and normally follow material written by some well known Christian Authors.

There are two Living Flame Groups, which both meet in Hook, one meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, the other meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. Each evening is a self-contained session so you are welcome at any of the meetings There are also regular social events where partners and children are more than welcome.

Please contact Nikki (01256 762865) for details of the Wednesday group and Carol-Anne (01256 763769) for details of the Thursday group.

Ecumenical Bible Study Group

This ecumenical Bible Group meets most Tuesday at 13:45pm at St John's, Hook.  The group does not formally meet on the 2nd Tuesday, to avoid clashing with St John's Lunch club. New people are very welcome to come along to learn, rediscover and enjoy God’s word. Tea or coffee and cake are included. Contact: Jennifer Martin (01256) 475143.
