Government and Church of England Guidelines on Mon 19th Oct at 14.21

Whilst Government guidance has been revised to allow certain activities to take place in church buildings, it is still vital that the necessary hygiene and social distancing precautions are kept in place in order to protect the NHS and save lives. Please phone Richard Morley on 01256 762948 or email  richardj.morley1@outlook.com to let us know if you are coming to Communion at 6pm. If we were unable to seat everyone at 6pm, there will be a second service at 6.30pm with new chairs.

Please notify if you and other family members wish to attend either of the services so seating can be organised in household groups as appropriate. If you cannot attend but would like a loved one to be remembered at the service please let us know and we will ensure the name is read.

Light Party on Zoom, Sat 31st Oct 5:30 – 6:30pm

Inviting children 3-14yrs to a Light Party. Celebration of Jesus, Light of the World with craft, songs and games. Pumpkins cut out and decorated with carvings related to the theme are welcome! Please contact Jonathan for zoom link - (jonathan.d.bushman@gmail.com).

Prayers for Myanmar

We were delighted to have Archbishop Stephen and Rev Dr Paul join us in Whitewater in February 2020.  We have a developing link with the Province of Myanmar.  They pray for us 4 times a day! Let us pray for them for fighting against the Coronavirus, for the coming election in November, for the Holy Cross Theological College to equip our would-be ministers and for peaceful change and democratisation in Myanmar.

Based on the painting done by Rebecca Ratnasamy for the church family Christmas Card 2019, packs of 10 cards will be for sale and/or pre-order.  Please contact church office for more details.

St John’s Hook Church Family Christmas 2020 Card

A new Church Family Christmas card will be produced for signing in due course (electronically). Donations otherwise spent on cards to other members of the church family will be used to support a charity which will be chosen by Hook PCC in November.
