NEWS FROM ROTHERWICK:

Repairs

External: the roof of the Tylney Chapel has been leaking during heavy rain recently.  You will notice scaffolding in place ready for repairs to begin shortly.  Internal: This week there was also a fall of lime plaster from the chancel ceiling.  At the moment we have made the decision to keep the church locked during the daytime to protect visitors until further safety checks and repairs can be made in the coming days.  We expect services on Sunday 8th December will be held in Rotherwick as usual although potentially with a backdrop of dustsheets and we will be open as usual ready for the “9 Lessons and Carols” on Sunday 15th December.

Help Wanted - If you are able to help with preparing and/or serving mince pies and wine after the 9 Lessons and Carols service at 6:30pm on Sunday 15th December please get in touch with Sarah Moore or Steve Burridge on rotherwickcw1@yahoo.com or (07881) 722477.  Many thanks.
