At St John's we have donated clothing to the Clothes Bank at Southampton City Mission.
In St John's Hook, we decided in Lent 2022 to rethink the volume of clothing we accumulate, and consider donating to a Clothing Bank which gives clothes away. It took 9 months but on 3rd January 2023 a large car full of good quality men's and women's clothing was taken to the Southampton City Mission Clothing Bank and donated for those who need it. Thank you to all those who gave the clothes to us and enabled this to happen.
Many thanks to all who so generously gave to this project. The mission staff would also like to express their grateful thanks to members & friends of our Church family at St. John's for their kindness and support. We are hoping to continue this during 2023, keep a look out in the notices for our next drop off.
