The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the governing body of the church parish. We have a PCC for Hook Parish and a separate one for the parish of Heckfield with Mattingley and Rotherwick. Each PCC has a number of members who are elected by the local congregation to run, along with the ministers, the work of the church in each parish.
Each Parochial Church Council (PCC) works with the minister in promoting the mission of their church. The PCC Members are Trustees of the church and are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the church, churchyard and moveable objects. They have overall charge of all expenditure for the parish.
At each APCM on 27 April, the elections take place for Church Wardens, representatives of each parish to the Deanery Synod and members of each PCC. Anyone on the current electoral roll can be nominated for Church Warden; anyone who has been on the electoral roll for at least 6 months can be nominated for Deanery Synod Representative or PCC Member.
