This year our theme is Living Hope.
In Lent we journey with Jesus on the difficult and thorny road that leads all the way to the cross on Good Friday – and beyond, to the transformation of Easter Day. God invites us to bring to him our own journey through everyday life. The hope God offers us is not wishful thinking. It is, as the Bible suggests, something alive – real, robust, rooted. In the disappointment of daily setbacks and the pain of deeper hurts, we discover that Godis present with us through it all. And God promises a future where all things are healed and made new.
Get Involved
There are lots of ways to get involved this Lent:
- Join a Lent group or a study group
- Share in the Church of England course - Living Hope (booklets and reflections, not just for use in small groups, but you can use at home).
We have a number of groups in the Benefice (see our Small groups page & weekly notices for more details). Our small groups meeting in a number of different locations, from the coffee shop at St John's, to people homes or even on Zoom. If you are interested talk to one of the leaders for more information.
